The Guardian APS is an Accessible Pedestrian Signal designed for simple, stand-alone operation. It meets MUTCD requirements and offers enhanced modes for local specifications.

Product Overview

The Guardian APS provides:

  • Locator tone to indicate the presence and location of APS.
  • Extended press for detailed intersection info and advanced functions.
  • Audible walk tone/message with vibro-tactile indication.
  • Optional clearance phase messages where required.

Programming and configuration are handled with the PedConnex utility.

Custom Audio Messages

  • Custom files (.wav format) can be created with free tools like Audacity.
  • Options include: second languages, gender voices, percussive tones.
  • Upload via USB.
