Installation Steps

Connecting the Sign Pigtail:

1. Access the Sign: Open the access panel on the sign.
2. Wire Connections: Connect the red wire to the +12VDC terminal on the solar panel. Connect the black wire to the solar DC Common (Com) terminal.
3. Seal the Connection: Use the provided watertight seal to secure the cable harness to the service cover. This prevents water ingress into the sign.

Preparing the Solar Panel Connection:

1. Prepare the Harness: Slide the terminal housing onto the solar panel cable.
2. Terminal Setup: You will see four potential slots on the terminal; use the ones marked with red and black to match the wire colors.
3. Secure the Wires: Loosen the set screws on the terminal slightly to place the wires inside. Insert the red wire into the red-marked terminal and the black wire into the black-marked terminal. Tighten the set screws to secure the wires. Use a wrench to ensure a tight, reliable connection.
4. Finalize the Housing: Rotate the terminal housing to the right while holding both the terminal and the housing to tighten. Adjust the locking ring at the back of the terminal housing to firmly secure the cable and ensure a waterproof seal.
