Summary

The Short Range Sensor activates TraffiCalm flashing crossing systems when motion occurs within a defined approach area. The device monitors the sidewalk or trail approach and sends an activation signal to the controller through a contact-closure input.

The sensor operates automatically and does not require push-button interaction. Event-based activation reduces unnecessary flashing operation and lowers system power usage compared to continuously operating warning devices.
