Utility Interface Overview
The PedConnex Utility interface is divided into functional tabs used for configuration and management.
Setup Tab
The Setup tab is used to configure station behavior based on the selected operating mode. Available modes include MUTCD, RRFB, Beacon, TAC, Off, and Test modes. Only settings applicable to the selected mode are displayed. This tab also manages audio file assignment for various pedestrian signal phases.
Volumes Tab
The Volumes tab allows adjustment of audio output levels based on ambient noise. Volume controls include day and night operation, locator versus non-locator audio, automatic gain control sensitivity, and calendar-based volume scheduling.
Advanced Tab
The Advanced tab provides administrative and maintenance functions including:
- Firmware update and reset
- Configuration reset
- Station time synchronization and DST handling
- Password protection
- Communication port settings
- Event and sensor log management
Profiles
Profiles include configuration settings and associated audio files. Profiles can be read from a station, saved to a computer, loaded from a computer, and sent to a station. This enables consistent configuration across multiple installations.
Audio File Management
Audio files are managed through the Setup tab. Supported audio formats include WAVE (.wav) files meeting PedConnex requirements and special countdown files (.advcount). Audio files can be uploaded, played, retrieved, or deleted from the station.
Training Videos
